HP has been announced next generation of Enterprise Virtual Arrays, called P6000, new arrays will support host connectivity with FCoE, Fibre Channel 8Gb/s, and iSCSI 1/10 GbE.

Rumors about the closing line of Enterprise Virtual Arrays are not confirmed; only the name has been changed; now the arrays will be renamed to P6000. In other matters name change does not affect the basic characteristics of the arrays did not appear innovative technology of automatic distribution of data across storage tiers, on the side of the arrays controllers. The changes affected only the backend bus, now it is SAS bus, upgraded performance if arrays controllers, and added support of 2.5 "SAS discs,  FC disks will not be used.
